Drugs, booze and fast food, what else can please a college
student? Sleepless nights, frat parties, dorm rooms and the endless choice of
potential mates sounds amazing to anyone entering college. At the same time, entering college can be
intimidating and tempting. Not only are
our social lives at the hands of our fellow classmates, but college students
are endlessly bombarded with homework and finals with no end in sight. Temptation finally arrives when night falls
as the frat parties began and pressure to follow your dorm mates sinks in. The so
called “secret life” of a college student is not so secretive but rather hidden. Not secretive because a college student
rarely has time for themselves to breathe or think in a moment of silence. Hidden because many college students must choose
to isolate themselves in order to escape the distractions of their everyday
lives. College can decide our fate in
life which is why we choose to remain hidden and spend many sleepless nights catching
up. Coffee and Mountain Dew becomes our
best friend rather than our roomies because they help us push through our
hidden lives, in our brief moment of silence so we can achieve that A.
